Have you ever wondered what happens to the wastewater that flows down kitchen sink drains, tub drains, clothes washer drains, toilet drains, bar drains, restaurant drains, industrial drains, etc.? Where does that wastewater and that ick go?
Where: Des Moines Sewage Treatement Plant 3000 Vandalia Road in Southeast Des Moines
When: Thursday, June 2, 2022; tour is from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Due to parking and other logistics at the plant tour is limited to 12 people.

Dress for the weather. Wear closed toed shoes. Bring a water bottle.
